Activation API
The Activation API offers programmatic access to LiveRamp’s data activation solutions. Users are able to activate PII (personally identifiable information or “PII,” such as email address, name, postal address, etc.)- and device-based segment data on popular platforms to reach audiences across every screen.
Common Use Cases:
- Manage segment distribution within internal applications or an integrated marketing platform without having to manage them from LiveRamp’s platform manually.
- Build an API integration with your internal applications so that your marketing team can select which segments they would like to distribute and reach to end destinations.
- Get delivery status on all the job activities for a given segment.
Authenticated Traffic Solution (ATS) API
Authenticated Traffic Solution (ATS) enables continuity of key marketing capabilities such as retargeting, personalization, and audience building without using third-party cookies or other device identifiers.
Common Use Cases:
- Utilize ATS on your owned-and-operated properties, including web, in-app, and connected TV.
- Transform authentication from digital properties (typically email addresses or phone numbers) to RampIDs, which are encrypted in an envelope.
- Activate envelopes via LiveRamp or other integrated platforms to build audiences and/or measure conversions.
- Utilize in conjunction with LiveRamp’s Enhanced Client-Side Tag to capture data automatically for activation via LiveRamp.
Identity: AbiliTec API
AbiliTec is an identity resolution technology for offline data. It connects and updates customer offline data by resolving PII data across enterprise databases and systems to deliver a better customer experience in a privacy-conscious manner.
Common Use Cases:
- Merge fragmented customer data to a single person and/or household identifier.
- Build custom rules for merging records and assigning new customer IDs.
- Look up new customer touchpoints in real-time to see if they belong to existing customer profiles.

The Retrieval API translates resolved data between different ID spaces, while maintaining privacy and permissioning standards.
